Thinking Visually for Creativity and Innovations

The Career Center is again pleased to announce another educational and conceptual Career Talk by Dr. Vuthiphong Priebjrivat, author of his latest book, "Draw Your Thoughts" (2014) and President of Sahasavas Institute on the topic “Thinking Visually for Creativity and Innovations”.


The talk will explain and explore how to think visually. Various types of pictorial symbols and diagrams will be introduced in order to show how "visual thinking" techniques can help us in describing, understanding, analyzing, thinking through and solving the various problems faced in our professional, conceptual and personal life.

About Dr. Vuthiphong Priebjrivat: Dr. Vuthiphong Priebjrivat has served as a member of the Thai National Legislative Assembly (2006-2008); and a board member and acting president of TOT Corp, Thailand’s national telecom company (2007). He helped found Thailand’s first credit rating agency, Thai Rating and Information Services or TRIS; and was its president for the first five years (1993-1998).



He has also taught at Thammasat University (1977-1986); and briefly as a visiting professor in America at the University of North Carolina (1992 and 1998). Between 1988 and 1992, he was vice president for marketing and alter corporate planning at Bangkok Bank.


Regarding his education, he ranked first in Thailand’s National High School Examination in 1970, and was subsequently awarded the King’s Scholarship to further his education in the United States (1970 -1975). He received a B.S. in civil engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology or MIT (1975); an M.S. in environmental engineering from Stanford University (1976); and an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in economics and public management from the University of Chicago (1979 and 1984).
