KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the supervision of the Senior Climate Finance Programme Specialist, the Climate Finance Associate will carry out activities with close collaboration with other staff in RRC.AP in the following areas: Research on international development trends on development finance, climate change, sustainable development, technology and industry development trends;
  • Research on member countries, and international development community’s positions, strategies, policies and action plans on climate change, and sustainable development;
  • Support the development of methodologies, toolkits, proposals, and case studies for strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation for investment in climate change, disaster risk reduction, gender mainstreaming and sustainable development, etc.;
  • Support the management of reporting and documentations for projects and activities;
Qualification: 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE 

  • Masters candidate in economics, management, international development, environmental sciences, engineering, mathematics, etc.;
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken, proficiency in another language is preferred but not necessary;
  • Familiar with the landscape and subject matters on international development, climate change and sustainable development;
  • Multi-tasking, problem solving, highly motived and driven by the common goal to promote climate change adaptation & mitigation, and sustainable development in developing countries;
  • Good interpersonal skills with experience working or studying in a multi- culture environment;
